Accessibility Statement
This website has been built to be as accessible to as many people as possible. It uses semantic xhtml and stylesheets for visual layout. The pages within this website should comply with the The Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines for level 1 and should validate as XHTML 1.0 Transitional. The site uses relative font sizes, allowing the User to override any font settings in the browser and any browsing devices that do not support stylesheets should still be able to read the content in a meaningful way. At the top of each page there are links to “Skip to Main Content” or “Skip to Main Navigation” which bypass information in the header and any sub navigation. The site does not use accesskeys as the usefulness of these is disputed.
Community Maps
Mapping for Change is aware of web site accessibility limitations for users with visual impairment or other conditions. The nature of interactive mapping (graphics and colours used) currently means that making this area fully accessible is not possible. However we will work to ensure all information is accessible.
